offer exactly the same type of balanced sound through out all Merlin
Cables offering more information, detail and presence with every increase
in model ensuring complete product synergy and guaranteeing complete
compatibility across our entire range. All speaker cables are terminated
as standard with high quality gold plated 4mm/BFA combined use plugs.

Speaker Cables explained
Our Factory Terminated Speaker cables use our proprietary NAS (noise
absorbing system) technology well-documented as a success in its application
in Merlin Mains Cables. Laboratory-specification ultra-high-purity copper
cores are used in all our Speaker Cables from our entry level Flat C4
Cables right up to the elite model called Dragon.
On Scorpion & Dragon Speaker Cables also take the Laboratory-specification
ultra-high-purity copper cores and like our interconnects they are encased
in a proprietary inert resin coating (IRC) to avoid highly performance-degrading
chemical interference caused by the use of conventional dielectrics
as seen on alternative cables. IRC also prevents the oxidisation of
the copper cores enabling electrical conductivity to be unhindered and
thus provide maximum performance at all times.
Merlin’s proprietary non-intrusive Noise Absorption Technology
(NAS) system vastly minimises the effects of both transmitted and radiated
radio-frequency and electro-magnetic interference. The deployment of
NAS technology is especially critical to minimise and absorb the performance-degrading
effects of unwanted harmonics and in phase high-frequency currents which
induce a detrimental net magnetic field around the cable.
Merlin Speaker Cables combine the latest cutting-edge cable technology
with class-leading sonic abilities and should be used with our interconnects
to minimise the signal loss due to the synergy of materials and designs
used to transfer the signals from source to speakers.

Our entry level speaker cable is a flat ribbon style speaker cable with
6 parallel conductors of HCT Technology with a low temperature polyethyline
dielectric. This makes C4 an ideal entry level cable for audio systems
or satellite speakers where hiding the cable under carpet or behind
fixtures is desirable.

CR4 speaker cable - RRP £5.50 / METER

The advanced design of 4 cores of HCT Highest purity copper conductors
encased in a low temperature polyethyline dielectric and then arranged
in opposing positive and negative configuration makes this speaker cable
easily out perform anything in its class. The presentation created is
full bodied and greatly detailed with purposeful sound staging and dynamics.
The addition of a high grade copper foil screening makes CR4 one of
the quietest speaker cables available not picking up any unwanted interference
from other interconnects or mains cables. CR4 can be uses as single
sun or as a bi-wire speaker cable depending on termination.

Taking the design and properties of CR4 on to a higher level CR6 has
all the same features and benefits but uses 6 Cores of HCT Highest purity
copper conductors encased in a low temperature polyethyline dielectric
and then arranged in opposing positive and negative configuration. The
effect this has is adding extra depth, definition and weight to the
sound and also means the cable can be used as a tri-wire speaker cable
if desired as well as a single run or bi-wire depending on termination.

IRC 6 speaker cable - RRP £15 / METER

Our first speaker cable to utilise 6 x IRC, HCT conductors of the highest
quality encased in low temperature polyethyline dielectric then arranged
in a RF Rejecting helical spiral configuration then fitted with another
dielectric with our latest design mechanical damping braid fitted to
the outside to effectively reduce unwanted noise and micro phonics.
The cable is also fully screened with a high quality thick copper foil
to ensure no unwanted interference is picked up. This cable can only
be terminated as a Shotgun style Single Wire (2-2).

braid fitted to the outside to effectively reduce noise and micro phonics.
The cable is also fully screened with a high quality thick copper foil
to ensure no unwanted interference is picked up. Scorpion speaker cable
can be used as a Shotgun style Single Run (2-2), Bi-wire (2-4) or even
Tri-Wire (2-6) speaker cable depending on termination.

Each link is made from 6 IRC (inert resin coated) HCT (hybrid core technology)
Conductors which precisely match those used in our Scorpion and Dragon
speaker cables as well as our older model C12. Each set are custom made
to your exact specifications, they can be made any length and can can
be terminated with either high grade low mass Spades or 4mm Banana Plugs
at either end.
